Let’s see…what kind of artwork should be displayed in the royal Chateau de Versailles? I know! A gold Michael Jackson, an inflatable lobster, a giant shiny balloon animal, and a couple of vintage vacuums and shampoo polishers.
I think it’s pretty cool. Nothing beats the ridiculously gaudy salons of Versailles, but Jeff Koons‘ sculptures come pretty close.
